It's saddening to hear of all these stories of people feeling helpless with this deadly disease called diabetes. I am from Hawaii and diabetes is a constant topic within family discussions because of its popularity among pacific islanders. There is a new project that has been started here in Hawaii that has been helping tremendous amounts of people for example my aunt who just started on the project for 3 months now. Prior to starting the project her blood sugar count was 519 and she had to inject herself with 5 shots of insulin a day . After being on the project for 2 1/2 months she was able to drop her sugar count to a consistent 104-111 and best of all, her doctor took her off of her insulin . I know that they want to help everyone who is willing to learn more and that are looking for help. If you know anyone that they can help I can get you the information to share with them. Please feel to email me at lisapaa@aol.com for more information

I am very worried that people are going to read these comments and Halle Berry's (who is so misinformed). I personally group people up into the various categories:

1- the people who are selling medication through affiliate links. Usually they are jumping on the band wagon and not even caring about what they say. Natural supplements are not always the right way to go about it. Some natural treatments are dangerous, some work really well. But just going off an ad or someones say so that their treatment is "1000 years old herbalist remedy" is dangerous. If you run a drug website because of the affiliate money that can be generated, make sure you know what you advertise!

2- some people are just not informed properly. Diabetes causes too many hospital admissions from people who have stopped using their insulin- especially T1 Diabetics. You need insulin all the time, as a basal level. When you eat something that level goes up and then comes back down an hour or two after eating. Without insulin the body tries to keep itself alive- read ketoacidosis.

3- info hounds. These people read up on everything, which is great, but they must also realise that some drugs which are being researched are researched for a reason. It takes 10 years for one drug to come out because they need to be at least enough to make some benefit outweigh the risk. This was highlighted quite rapidly when a groups of test subjects in the UK lost limbs and sight because the drug was not up to scratch at that stage.

If you are taking insulin, keep with it. If you found something, herbal, natural, research paper, talk to your Diabetic specialist doctor. They know best.

PS. Diabetics will form complications over time, it is a progressive condition, but how bad those complications will be depends very much so on the regulation of blood sugar. To erratic for a long period of time and those complications will be a little bit more severe.

Oh and if you are on T2 and are taking tablets, on a diet or insulin, none are worse than the other. They are all different forms of treatment. So taking a pill is not a "better diabetic" than someone who is taking insulin.

Theresa <a href="http://musicweight.com/healthy-weight-loss-benefit/" rel="nofollow">www.musicweight.com</a>. Pay us a visit soon. Cheers.

I'm the author of the soon to be released book, Misinformed About Food, and the founder of Informed Living. We introduce special products that fill a void in the market. They're either the best at what they do, and unlike anything else, or we don't bother.

I encourage your readers to check out a new "healthy" sugar substitute just introduced on our site. The more you eat, the healthier you get. It contains no frusctose, no sucrose, and 5 pounds is the approximate equivelent of 1 calorie. Yes, you can bake with it too . It's not bitter, and truly tastes great. It's principally fiber, with a hint of organic orange peel. It's a natural pre and probiotic. I hope this helps those that genuinely need it. Go to www.rkinformedliving.com, click the Life Products tab on top, and scroll down.

Time to take Action

Many with diabetes develop
some form of complication over time.
This results in poor health and quality
of life, leading to unemployment and
a myriad of financial, emotional and
psychological problems. Seb Thiam
diabetes counsellor, says it is time
to stop making excuses and take action.

It bothers me to hear anyone ever say "Impossible". Everything you see, from the car you drive to the tv you watch, to the hair spray you use...was once thought impossible. There IS a cure to Diabetes. It's closer to us than you think.
Keep smiling...it's contagious.
